(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)

(AMENDMENT No. 26) ORDER 2019

                                               Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 3 (2), 4 (1) and (2), 32 (1), 35 (1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called “the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the made Order will be to add additional roads into the Addington Residents Permit Zone, to add Virtual Permits into the order and to introduce new or remove disabled persons parking bays (DPPB) on the following length of roads:-

Roads in Broadstairs

 

BRADSTOW WAY – (DPPB) Across the front of number 121. CROW HILL - (DPPB) Across the front of number 20. VICTORIA PARADE – (DPPB) On the eastern side 18 metres opposite the southern kerb of Wrotham Road for a distance of 31 metres in a southerly direction (2 Bays).

 

Roads in Margate

 

BRYON AVENUE – (DPPB) Across the front of Number 79. DANE HILL – (DPPB) Across the front of number 1. HAROLD ROAD – (DPPB) Across the front of number 42. MILTON AVENUE – (DPPB) Across the front of number 52. PRICES AVENUE – (DPPB) Across the front of number 37. RIVERHEAD CLOSE – (DPPB) Across the front of number 6. WESTBROOK AVENUE – (DPPB) Across the front of number 28.   WESTCLIFF ROAD – (DPPB) Across the front of number 15A. ZION PLACE – (DPPB) Across the front of number 9. To remove (DPPB) in HASTINGS AVENUE – Across the front of number 11. MILTON AVENUE – Across the front of number 103. To add the following roads into Margate Addington Residents Zone – CECIL SQUARE Property No. 9 only, CHURCHFIELDS, VICARGE PLACE AND WHEATLEY PLACE.

CHERITON AVENUE – (DPPB) Across the front of number 4. DANE PARK ROAD – (DPPB) Across the front of number 5. DENMARK ROAD – (DPPB) Across the front of number 22. PROSPECT TERRACE – (DPPB) Across the front of number 11. ST MILDREDS ROAD – (DPPB) Across the front of number 48. SYDNEY ROAD – (DPPB) Across the front of number 26. To remove the (DPPB) in CHERITON AVENUE – Across the front of number 2.

The Order was made on 11 November 2019 and its provisions will come into effect on 18 November 2019.

A copy of the Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any Orders which will be amended by the Order may be examined on Monday to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ; The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD or at The Gateway, Cecil Square, Margate, Kent during normal office hours or download from the consultation document section below’.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
