The effect of the Experimental Order would be to introduce a prohibition of waiting 24/7 on all roads for HGVs 5 tonnes and over across the Boroughs of Ashford, Maidstone and Swale and in the Districts of Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet. With the exception of the laybys off the following roads: A249 between M20 J7 and M2 J5, the A299 M2 J7 to junction with the A256, the A256 junction with A299 to junction with A2.

Monkton Road, St Mildreds Roads and Tothill Street in the District of Thanet - Waiting Restrictions And Street Parking Places

The effect of the made named Order will introduce or amend waiting restrictions DYL (Double Yellow Lines) means no waiting at any time on the following length of roads in Minster, Thanet:- MONKTON ROAD – DYL - On the north side extend the existing lines from the car park entrance by 14 metres to the western building line of The Saddler Public House. ST MILDREDS ROAD – DYL – (1) On the west side from a point 2 metres south of the boundary of 12/14 St Mildreds Road for a distance of 49 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the northern side extend the existing lines from Station Road by 46 metres in a westerly then northerly direction. TOTHILL STREET – DYL – On the western side extend the lines from Monkton Road by 71 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the eastern side extend the lines by 40 metres to the southern boundary of 5 Tothill Street.

The effect of the Made Order will be to extend or reduce the existing speed limit to 20mph on the following lengths of roads in Canterbury: Beverley Road, Bishops Way, Church Street, Clifton Gardens, Cross Street, Davidson Road, Fisher Road, Hanover Place, Harcourt Drive, Hardy Close, London Road, Mandeville Road, Mead Way, New Street, Orchard Street, Orient Place, Queens Avenue, Ramsey Close, Rheims Court, Roper Road, Roseacre Close, Station Road West, St. Dunstans Close, St. Dunstans Terrace, Temple Road, The Spires, Westgate Court Avenue, St. Dunstans Street, St Peters Place, North Lane and Whitstable Road.
