Virtual Public Inquiry into The Kent County Council (Public Footpaths CW80 & CWX40, Whitstable) Rail Crossing Extinguishment and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2018

Starting on Tuesday 22 September 2020, the Planning Inspectorate will host a virtual public inquiry into the Order relating to the extinguishment of public footpath numbered CW80 where it runs across the railway level crossing at Glebe way, Whitstable, and the connecting footpath numbered CWX40. The related documents for that inquiry are attached to this consultation page which is for information only and not open for responses.

Addition of public footpath HB87 at Hythe

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map, by recording a public footpath running between 112 High Street and Prospect Road at Hythe. Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council may make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way which is not shown on the map is reasonably alleged to subsist.
