(VARIOUS ROADS, GRAVESHAM) (STOPPING, WAITING, AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS, PARKING PLACES AND CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES)

(AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2019

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce double yellow lines, time limited bays and a loading restriction at all times in the following lengths of roads:-

PELHAM ROAD SOUTH, Loading Ban - On the north eastern side from a point 17 metres north-east of its junction with Victoria Road for a distance of 12 metres in a north-easterly direction. On the south eastern side from its junction with Salisbury Road for a distance of 5 meters in both directions.

SALISBURY ROAD, Loading Ban - On both sides from its junction with Pelham Road South for a distance of 5 metres in a south easterly direction. VALLEY DRIVE - DYL – (1) On the western side to extend the existing lines for a distance of 55 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the eastern side from its junction with St Benedicts Avenue for a distance of 84 metres in a southerly direction. ST BENEDICTS AVENUE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Valley Drive for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction. KHARTOUM PLACE – DYL – Extend the existing lines for the entire length on all sides. NEW ROAD, Loading Bay – Remove the loading bay outside 65-70 and replace with approximately 3 Disabled Persons Parking Bays and change the remining Goods Loading Bay to at all times. BRONTE VIEW, 2 Hour Time Limited Bays Mon-Sat 8am – 6.30pm with no return for 1 hour. – On the south eastern side in the layby opposite number 1 Bronte View

 

The Order was made on 21 October 2019 and its provisions will come into effect on 28 October 2019.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
