ORDER 2019

 

                                                 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 3 (2), 4 (1) and (2), 32 (1), 35 (1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called “the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will be to install waiting restrictions (DYL means waiting restrictions at any time) in the following length of roads in Dover:-

Roads in Whitfield in the District of Dover

 

SINGLEDGE LANE – DYL – (1) On the north eastern side from a point in line with the boundary of 20/22 Singledge Lane to a point in line with the boundary of 50/52 Singledge Lane. (2) On the north eastern side from the junction with Castle Drive to a point 2.5 metres north east of the boundary of 62/64 Singledge Lane. (3) On the south western side from a point opposite the boundary line of 50/52 Singledge Lane to a point in line with the north eastern kerbline of the access road to the Hotel. RYE LANE – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Singledge Lane to a point 7.5 metres south west of the boundary of 1/2 Rye Lane.

The Order was made on 21 October 2019 and its provisions will come into effect on 28 October 2019.

A copy of the Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any Orders which will be amended by the Order may be examined on Monday to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ; The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD normal office hours or download from the consultation document section below’.

 

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
