Introduction
The proposed named Order will reduce the existing speed limits on various sections of the followings roads: Canterbury Road, Buck Street and Faversham Road in Challock, Charing Hill and Canterbury Road in Charing, Maidstone Road in Chilham and Canterbury Road and The Street in Molash.
- For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
- For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which road runs.

In the Parish of Charing to reduce the speed limit on sections of Charing Hill from the National Speed Limit to 50mph and 40mph and Canterbury Road from 40mph to 30mph
In the Parishes of Charing and Challock to reduce the speed limit on sections of Canterbury Road from the National Speed limit to 50mph and from 50mph to 40mph
In the Parishes of Challock and Molash to reduce the speed limit on sections of Canterbury Road and Faversham Road from 40mph to 30mph and on The Street from the National Speed Limit to 50mph
In the Parishes of Molash and Chilham to reduce the speed limit on sections of Canterbury Road from the National Speed Limit to 50mph
In the Parish of Chilham to reduce the speed limit on a section of Maidstone Road from 50mph to 40mph
