Introduction

The effect of the Order would be to extend the 40mph by 160 metres from the Green Hill Bridge roundabout along Thanet Way A2990, from the existing speed limit, 117 metres west of the roundabout with Greenhill Bridge Road for a distance of 160 metres in a westerly direction.

These changes are due to the new Lidl Store for the following reasons: -

  • avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

Full details, including the scheme plan, can be found in the Public Notice and Statement for Reason.
