Introduction

The effect of the made named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time

Roads in Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone

Sutton Road – DYL – Around the entire circumference of the traffic layby island opposite the junction with Buffkyn Way. Sutton Road Layby Opposite Buffkyn Way – DYL - (1) On the south western side of the eastern end of the layby for a distance of 14.5 metres in a westerly direction. (2) Between points 35.5 metres and 45.5 metres. (3) Between 52.5 metres and 59 metres. (4) Between 90.5 metres and to its junction with the west end of the layby. To install a 24 hour loading bay – (1) On the southern side at the eastern end of the layby from a point 14.5 metres for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction.

The Order was made on 6 August 2020 and its provisions will come into effect on 10 August 2020.

The Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority hereby make the Order referred to above and as shown on the drawings accompanying this document in the interest of public safety

  • For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road of for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • For facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
