As no objections were received to the public notice, the decision taken by Roger Gough, Cabinet Member for Education and Health Reform on 5 November 2014 to change the age range and enlarge the school with the addition of a 2FE primary provision, creating an all through school for pupils aged 4 to 19 years has been confirmed.  Below is a copy of the Record of Decision.

The consultation on the proposal to change the age-range of St George’s Church of England Foundation (Secondary) School from 11-19 to 4-19 and enlarge the school by the addition of a two form entry primary provision from September 2016 has now ended and the outcome of the consultation reported to the Cabinet Member for Education and Health Reform.  The report is available below.

Kent County Council would like to hear your views on a proposal to change the age-range of St George’s C of E Foundation (Secondary) School from 11-19 to 4-19 and enlarge the school by the addition of a two form entry primary provision from September 2016.

The public consultation will run for a period of 4 weeks from 8 September to 6 October.  A public meeting will be held at the school on 23 September at 7pm, where there will be the opportunity to ask questions and give your views.  The consultation letter below gives you details of the proposal, information on the background to it and outlines the current position.  The letter includes a response form, which we ask to you to complete and return to us by midday on Monday 6 October.  Please return the form to Marisa White, Area Education Officer, Brook House, Reeves Way, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 3SS, or alternatively email your views to school.consultations@kent.gov.uk.  You can also hand your response form in at the school office.
