We’re committed to giving all children in Kent the best start in life.
We want all children in Kent have equal access to support and education which meets the unique needs of a child and their family.
We want everyone to feel supported towards making progress together as a family to live their best life and hope that by listening to the voices of our families, we will provide a bespoke service that improves wellbeing, resilience and learning in our communities.
We’ve taken a long hard look at the recent Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Ofsted report and recognise that there is a lot of work for us to do to make sure you really trust us moving forward. More importantly, we need to listen and learn from you. It’s really important to us to understand what you’re thinking and feeling when seeking support from us. Good or bad we want to hear it all.
Working with partners to get it right
Over summer, we’ll be working with Healthwatch Kent and charities to hold parent and carer forums to hear from you what you have to say. If you’d like to be part of one of the parent and carer forums, or would like to find out more, please get in touch with the listed charities.
Getting it right for you
We know this won’t be easy, but we’re committed to making long-lasting changes for the better, for you and your family.
Change won’t happen overnight, however case by case and story by story, we will fulfil our commitment of giving every child in Kent the best start in life. We hope you’ll join us in making this a reality.
Your voice - we're listening
We’re starting off with a short questionnaire, as we want to hit the ground running and begin to develop a vision with you, for you. Answer the questionnaire and view the vision statements.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete our questionnaire. We’ve extended the deadline to 28 July so there’s still time for you to have your say.
