Introduction

The effect of the made Order would be to change the 40MPH speed limit to 30MPH speed limit on the following lengths of roads in in the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling -

  • Hadlow Road East and
  • Three Elm Lane 

HADLOW ROAD EAST - From the northern slip road from the main carriageway to its most southerly junction with Three Elm Lane. THREE ELM LANE – From its junction with Hadlow Road East (including the spur) to a point in line with the eastern property boundary of Rose Cottage.

The Kent County Council as traffic authority hereby make the Order referred to above and as shown on the drawing accompanying this document for the following reasons: -

  • For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • Avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

The Order was made on 11 February 2021 and its provisions will come into effect on 15 February 2021.
