(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS)

AMENDMENT NO.25 ORDER 2019

 

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order would be to reduce the speed limit to 40mph in the following sections of roads in Appledore:

Ferry Road – From the junction with Tenterden Road for a distance of 118 metres in a southerly direction. Kenardington Road – From a point 103 metres north east of the junction with Heath Road for a distance of 777 metres in a north westerly direction. School Road – From a point 135 metres south west of the junction with Heath Road to the junction with Tenterden Road. Tenterden Road – From a point 185 metres west of the junction with The Street for a distance of 837 metres in a westerly direction.

Also to reduce the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph in the following sections of roads in Appledore:

Appledore Heath Cut – For its entire length. Heath Road – For its entire length. Kenardington Road – From the junction with Heath Road for a distance of 103 metres in a north easterly direction. School Road – From the junction with Kenardington Road for a distance of 135 metres in a south westerly direction. Tenterden Road – From the junction with The Street for a distance of 185 metres in a westerly direction. The Street – For its entire length. Woodchurch Road – From the junction with School Road to a point 19 metres north of Donkey Lane.

A copy of the proposed Order, an explanatory statement and a map showing the lengths of roads concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ, at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8AD or download from the consultation document section below’.
