(VARIOUS ROADS, THE BOROUGH OF ASHFORD)

(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS)

AMENDMENT NO.26 ORDER 2019

 

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order would be to reduce the speed limit to 30mph in Charing on the following lengths of roads:-

CHARING HEATH ROAD – (1) From its junction with Hurst Lane for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction. (2) From its junction with Tile Lodge Road for a distance of 50 metres northerly direction. CHURCH HILL - From a point 20 metres east of its junction with Vicarage Lane to its junction with Egerton Road. EGERTON ROAD - From its junction with Hurst Lane to a point 20 metres east of its junction with Vicarage Lane. HURST LANE - From its junction with Charing Heath Road for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction. TILE LODGE ROAD - From its junction with Egerton Road to its   junction with Charing Heath Road. WIND HILL LANE - For its entire length.

And to reduce the speed limit to 40mph in Charing on the following length of road:-

CHARING HEATH ROAD – From its junction with Pluckley Road to a point 50 metres east of its junction with Hurst Road.

And to change the existing 50mph speed limit to 40mph in High Halden on the following length of road:-

ASHFORD ROAD (A28) – From a point 535 metres north east of its junction with Little Robhurst to a point 125 metres north east of its junction with The Martins.

A copy of the proposed Order, an explanatory statement and a map showing the lengths of roads concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ, at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8AD or online at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations
