(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS)   AMENDMENT No.33 ORDER 2019

 

   Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council has made the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -

The Boughton Monchelsea Parish Council has requested Kent County Council in the above-named Order to reduce the various speed limits for safety reasons in the following roads or lengths of roads;

 

  • To implement 20mph Speed Limit in the following roads or length of roads
  • CHURCH STREET  
    1. From its junction with Heath Road to its junction with The Green.
  • GREEN LANE 
    1. From its junction with Church Street to a point 14 metres southeast of its junction with Lewis Court Drive.
  • HASTE HILL CLOSE
    1. From its junction with Haste Hill Road for its entire length.
  • HASTE HILL ROAD 
    1. From a point 21 metres west of its junction with Haste Hill Close to its junction with The Green.
  • LEWIS COURT DRIVE 
    1. From its junction with Green Lane for its entire length.
  •    MEADOW VIEW ROAD
    1. From its northeastern junction with Lewis Court Drive to its southeastern junction with Lewis Court Drive (including its spur)
  • THE GREEN 
    1. From its junction with Church Street to its junction with Beresfords Hill (including the sections which junction with Haste Hill Road).
  • THE QUARRIES 
  1. From its junction with Bottlescrew Hill to its junction with Cliff Hill.
  • To implement 30mph Speed Limits in the following roads or length of roads
  • HASTE HILL ROAD  
    1.  
    2. From its junction with Hubbard’s Lane to a point 21 metres west of its junction with Haste Hill Close.
  • GREEN LANE
  1. From a point 14 metres southeast of its junction with Lewis Court Drive to a point 182 metres east of that junction.
  • To implement 40mph Speed Limit in the following roads or length of roads
  • BERESFORDS HILL:ii)    BOTTLESCREW HILL:  
  1. Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement in relation to the Orders.
  2.
