(VARIOUS ROADS, THE BOROUGH OF GRAVESHAM) (PROHIBITION OF LEFT-HAND AND RIGHT-HAND TURN MOVEMENTS) ORDER 2019

 

                                               Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 

Notice is hereby given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 1 and 2 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce a banned left-hand and right-hand turn movements (except pedal cycles) in the following lengths of road:-

CHURCHILL ROAD, No left-hand turn from Churchill Road into Cecil Road.

NORTHCOTE ROAD, No left-hand turn from Northcote Road into Cecil Road.

SALISBURY ROAD, No right-hand turn from Salisbury Road into Cecil Road.

PELHAM ROAD SOUTH, No right-hand or left-hand turn from Pelham Road South into Salisbury Road

The Order was made on 18 March and its provisions will come into effect on 25 March 2019.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
