Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made two Orders, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map, by recording a new Bridleway running between Monkeys Hill at Heronden and Black Lane at Venson Bottom in the parish of Eastry.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council may make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way which is not shown on the map is reasonably alleged to subsist.
