(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS)

AMENDMENT NO.21 ORDER 2019

 

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order would be to reduce the national speed limit to 40mph in the following section of roads in Aldington, Ashford:

BILL DEEDES WAY - From both its junctions with New Road Hill for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction. BOAT LANE - From its junction with New Road Hill    for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction. FORGE HILL - From a point 235 metres south west of its junction with Roman Road to its junction with New Road Hill. MILL ROAD - From its junction with New Road Hill for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction. NEW ROAD HILL - From its junction with Forge Hill to a point 55 metres east of its junction with Cherry Orchard Lane. PATTISON FARM CLOSE - From its junction with New Road Hill for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

A copy of the proposed Order, an explanatory statement and a map showing the lengths of roads concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ, at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8AD or download from the consultation document section below’.
