(ONE WAY STREET) ORDER 2019

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the local authority and in exercise of its powers under Section 1(1) and 2, 2(1) to (3) and 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called “the Act”) as amended and Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce a one-way traffic flow in the entry points on the following section of road in Ashford:-

BELL LANE

From the junction with Headcorn Road (South Arm Entry Lane) for a distance of 35 metres traffic will only flow in a southerly direction. From the junction with Headcorn Road (North Arm Entry Lane) for a distance of 13 metres traffic will only flow in an easterly direction.

A statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined on Monday to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ, and at The Kent County Council, Kent Highway & Transportation, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD or download from the consultation document section below.
