 (WAITING RESTRICTIONS & ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) AMENDMENT No.26 ORDER 2019

 

                                             Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the above named Order:-

Due to the construction of Bishops Chavasse Primary School it has become necessary to implement or amend the double yellow lines (DYL’s) means no waiting at any time restrictions in Baker Lane, Five Oak Green Road and Tudeley Lane and Prohibition of Loading and Unloading road markings in Baker Lane and Five Oak Green Road, Monday to Friday between the hours 8:00am and 4:00pm in the following length of roads in Tonbridge;

BAKER LANE – (1) DYL On the eastern side from the junction with Five Oak Green Road for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction. (2) DYL On the northern side from the entrance of Bishops Chavasse Primary School for a distance of 32 metres in a westerly direction. (3) DYL On the western side from the junction with Tudeley Lane for a distance of 47 metres in a northerly direction. FIVE OAK GREEN ROAD – (1) DYL On the southern side from its junction with Tudeley Lane for a distance of 34 metres in a northerly direction. (2) DYL On the northern side from its junction with Baker Lane for a distance of 15 metres in a south-easterly direction. TUDELEY LANE – (1) DYL On the southern side from its junction with Five Green Oak Road for a distance of 12 metres in a south-easterly direction. PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND UNLAODING – MONDAY – FRIDAY 8AM – 4PM BAKER LANE – (1)  On the eastern side from the junction with Five Oak Green Road for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the northern side from the entrance of Bishops Chavasse Primary School for a distance of 32 metres in a westerly direction. (3) On the western side from the junction with Tudeley Lane for a distance of 47 metres in a northerly direction. FIVE OAK GREEN ROAD - DYL On the northern side from its junction with Baker Lane for a distance of 15 metres in a south-easterly direction.

The Order was made on 13 May and its provisions will come into effect on 20 May 2019.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
