DERESTRICTED ROADS)

AMENDMENT NO. 14 ORDER 2016

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council has made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to :-

Introduce the following changes to the speed limits:

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit in:               Newcomen Road,                             Tedder Road,                         Cunningham Road,            Newlands Road,                                Newlands Way,                     Newlands Rise,                            East Cliff Road,                                  New England Road,             Mereworth Road,                    Southwood Avenue,                        Somerset Road,                    Stephen's Road,                 Queen's Road,                                    Woodbury Park Road,        Chilston Close,              Richardson Road,                             Shaftesbury Road,                Chilston Road,                    Amherst Road,                                   Park Road,                               Grosvenor Park,               Dunstan Grove,                                  Dunstan Road,                       Upper Dunstan Road, Hopwood Gardens,                          Impala Gardens,                    St Michael's Road,                       St David's Road,                                St Luke's Road,                      Silverdale Road,            Silverdale Lane,                                 Merrion Way,                          Merrion Close,                  Denbigh Road,                                    Woodland Road,                  Dynevor Road,            Holmewood Road,                            Nursery Road,                       South View Road,   Cunningham Close,                          Colebrook Road,                  All Saints Rise,                              All Saints Road,                                  Currie Road,                           Woodland Close,            Lakeman Way,                                    Montgomery Road,             Riddlesdale Avenue                  and Wilman Road for their entire lengths.

Cambrian Road, from junction with Woodland Rise to 10metres west from the junction with Upper Grosvenor Road.

A copy of the proposed Order, which comes into operation on 19/12/16, together with an explanatory statement and a map showing the lengths of roads concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ or at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, TN24 8Ad or downloaded from the consultation document section below.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that  there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement in relation to the Orders.
