Introduction

The effect of this Has Made Order will prohibit the driving of vehicles Monday to Friday between 8am – 9.30am and 2pm - 3.30pm on the following length of road in Margate, in The District of Thanet.

St. Peter's Footpath  – from the junction with College Road to the south eastern boundary of Fern Cottage, St Peter’s Footpath.

The Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority hereby make the Order referred to above as shown on the drawings accompanying this document. There has been a temporary order in place for the last 6 months and it has therefore been decided to make this order permanent in the interest of public safety to help facilitate the arrival and departure of school pupils to school.

  • For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • For facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The Order was made on 6 May 2021 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 May 2021.
